Bill & Lena Shrader--Hannah, Colton, Will, Abigail
Prior to the call to Peru, Bill ministered for nearly 25 years with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries (XA). He has a Master of Divinity degree and is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pentecostal Leadership.
Lena has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She and Bill met in 1990, at a leadership conference for XA staff. They married in 1991. Lena has worked as a Licensed Social Worker, teaching parenting skills to inner-city families and in XA alongside Bill.
Bill and Lena direct Latin America ChildCare (LACC) in Peru. This ministry is very near to their hearts, combining Lena’s social work background and their evangelistic/discipleship backgrounds in XA.
LACC takes discipleship to a new level as the Gospel in action. LACC is transforming the lives of impoverished families through evangelism, education, and ministries of compassion.
The Shrader family also includes: Hannah, Colton, Will, and Abigail.
Hannah and Colton are very committed to the family's mission in Peru, while being equally aware of the costs (i.e., living far from family and friends). Hannah says that she's glad they're in Peru, embracing the challenge and adventure of serving Jesus. Colton, who is the family prayer warrior, prays every night for the salvation of thousands of Peruvians. Hannah and Colton frequently minister with their parents in music ministry, evangelism and hosting teams.
